The Journey Begins

The first part of the journey to Peru has started, with an uneventful trip from the farm to Canberra airport, then on to Sydney. Had my first trial of carrying all of my luggage at once on a 10 minute walk to "The Horseshoe" at Sydney airport where the hotel shuttle buses pick up. This has led to a luggage rearranngement (again!), with more going into the largest wheeled suitcase! Very smug with my packing, as my single suitcase weighed 20.6kg, not sure about the weight of my daypack/handbag or carry -on luggage, although I think they are within the zone, but they sure felt heavy by the time I got to the bus stop! Transfer to the International Airport is booked for 7am, with a 9.30am departure. The flight is 15 hours, & arrival time in Santiago Chile is around midday Tuesday 11 September, so it will be a very long Tuesday!
